It was my second time to visit Singapore and the little country still amazed me. Singapore is literally an urban concrete jungle and the Singaporeans do not stop being so extra! I was looking forward to visit the new places that didn’t exist in 2016— and yes, I was intrigued of the Jewel, the waterfalls inside the Changi airport.

I took my family to the same places I have been in 2016. But this time I booked us our hostel in Chinatown so it’s a stone away from the tourist-y places. It’s the same hostel line (5footway.inn) only different location. Day 1 was a walking city tour to see the Singapore Merlion, The Gardens by the Bay (Cloud Forest & Flower Dome) and stayed until about 7pm to watch the lighted super trees then we went to dinner at the Marina Bay Sands. It was a great day taking in all the luxury and awesomeness of Singapore skyline.

Our Day 2 was a bit chill— we visited Sentosa Island thru a cable car and no, we didn’t go to the Universal Studios for the obvious reason we don’t enjoy the rides. So we opted the more relaxed and more age-appropriate tour of visiting Madam Tussaud’s wax figures of famous people and ended it by watching the Marvel 4D which was the highlight of our Day 2. I mean, I have never heard my mom laughed so hard! Day 2 dinner was in Chinatown and we walked endlessly around, shopping for presents and souvenirs.

It was generally a quick, but great visit. But I knew that Singapore awesomeness didn’t stop there as I have yet to see The Jewel! and it didn’t disappoint.. pure genius!

Singapore is everything nice: clean streets, efficient public transport, friendly helpful people but also very humid and very expensive, even in Dubai standards 😃

Have you been to Singapore? How was it?
